Harmonix announced today that next week’s Rock Band Music Store update will feature singles from Beastie Boys, Heart, James Brown and Rufus (featuring Chaka Khan). Beastie Boys will be keeping you awake with Make Some Noise and No Sleep till Brooklyn, while, after many requests, Heart’s Barracuda is finally making its way to the game, with a Pro guitar and bass upgrade available. (I wonder how much nagging it will take for them to add some Sam Roberts…). Finally, Tell Me Something Good by Rufus (featuring Chaka Khan) and a Pro upgrade compatible version of James Brown’s Super Bad, Pts. 1 & 2 fill out the edges.
The tracks will be available on Xbox 360, Wii and Playstation 3 on August 2nd, and will only be available individually, for the regular $1.99 USD/£0.99 UK/€1.49 EU/160 Microsoft Points/200 Wii Points each. The Pro guitar and bass upgrade is also its usual $0.99 USD/£0.59 UK/€0.79 EU/80 Microsoft Points/100 Wii Points per compatible track. Your request could be the tipping point for a track to be added!
